Copernicus Educational Products has been successfully in business for 20 years.  Founded in 1989 by George Phillips after taking early retirement from a career in education.  With the help of a great team, business partners and teachers, we have grown to be the leader in Kindergarten-Grade 4 of teaching easels in North America.

Although George passed away in 2001, we still maintain the same focus on innovative, teacher driven and child safe educational products.

We have built our reputation over the years on our ongoing product innovation and classroom research practices.  Our award winning Royal® Reading and Writing Center is used in more than 135,000 classrooms worldwide. We currently have 650 dealers and distribution centers in Canada, United States, Germany, UK, Australia and China. 

Imagination

Imagine the greatest, physical tool you could give a student.  Beyond their minds, beyond experiences they could gain, and beyond the time needed to do so.  The iRover, is one of those great tools that help kids learn.  Watching interactive lessons on an iRover is like watching a child’s imagination take shape. The breadth of what is possible in school lessons now is beyond most parents wildest imaginations!

Inspiration

It is a Teacher’s greatest gift to inspire their Students, and Copernicus is always striving to find new and innovative ways to Inspire Teachers. We work closely with a group of dedicated Educators, our Teachers Advisory Board, to develop unique products that will help them in their day to day teaching. These teachers are shaping the future, and Copernicus is providing them with the tools they need.  Frequent classroom observations are Inspirational to the Research & Development team, as we are always discovering new areas of focus, new advancements in teaching, and new ideas to get excited about.

Innovation

Innovation is one of those buzz words that people don’t always understand. For us, Innovation is always keeping our end user (Teachers & Students) in mind, and always making them the focus. At Copernicus, we are continually moving forward, always searching for new ideas and new inspiration. A product concept needs to be something that will help a Teacher teach, either by making a task easier, allowing a different mode of instruction, or helping to organize. Innovation always starts with an idea, it is up to the individual or organization to make it happen.
